The Triangle of Human Anatomy

Head, Trunk, and Limbs

Glowing green triangle labeled "Head," "Trunk," "Limbs" on black background. Text reads "The Triangle of Human Anatomy" and "ThinkinginTriangles.com".

The triangle of Head, Trunk, and Limbs represents the three primary regions of the human body, each playing a vital role in structure, function, and movement. Together, they work in harmony to support life and enable complex activities.

  1. Head: The head houses the brain, the control center of the body, which governs thoughts, emotions, and bodily functions. It also contains sensory organs—eyes, ears, nose, and mouth—responsible for vision, hearing, smell, taste, and communication.

  2. Trunk: The trunk forms the central part of the body, including the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. It protects vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and digestive system while serving as the attachment point for the limbs. The spine within the trunk provides structural support and flexibility.

  3. Limbs: The limbs—arms and legs—enable movement, interaction, and manipulation of the environment. They provide mobility, strength, and dexterity for daily tasks and activities.

Balancing head, trunk, and limbs ensures coordinated function and overall well-being.
