The triangle of Action, Barrel, and Stock represents the three primary components of a firearm, each serving a distinct function in its operation, performance, and usability. Together, they define the structure and functionality of a gun.

  1. Action: The action is the mechanism responsible for loading, firing, and ejecting cartridges. It is the core operating system of the firearm, dictating its type (e.g., bolt-action, semi-automatic) and influencing reliability, rate of fire, and ease of use.

  2. Barrel: The barrel is the long, cylindrical component through which the projectile is fired. Its design, length, and rifling affect the bullet’s velocity, accuracy, and range, making it critical for performance.

  3. Stock: The stock provides the structure and grip for the shooter, offering stability and comfort. It ensures proper aim and control, making the firearm manageable and reducing recoil impact.

Balancing action, barrel, and stock ensures the firearm’s effectiveness, precision, and usability.
